Bookkeeper

We are looking for a detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team in an onsite, permanent contract role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys keeping financial records accurate, managing day-to-day accounting activity, and staying organized in a fast-paced office environment. The successful candidate will support billing, payroll, purchasing, and account reconciliation while helping ensure financial tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records by handling daily bookkeeping activities and updating transactions in Quick Books Online.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including issuing invoices, reviewing incoming bills, and tracking payment activity.
• Run biweekly payroll through Paychex and verify payroll information for completeness and accuracy before submission.
• Reconcile bank accounts and match transactions to supporting documentation to ensure balances are correct.
• Manage customer purchase orders by organizing documentation, creating files, and keeping records easy to access and audit.
• Review employee and business expenses, enter relevant details into accounting records, and confirm proper coding and approval.
• Support supply purchasing by preparing orders, monitoring needed items, and recording related financial activity.
• Use Excel to track financial data, compare account details, and identify discrepancies that require follow-up.
• Coordinate with internal leadership to help confirm accounting tasks are completed thoroughly and within expected timelines.
