Responsibilities- Inspect, diagnose, and perform advanced vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Perform emissions testing (state inspections when applicable).
- Move vehicles and manage inventory.
- Document repair work accurately in Drive Time systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area to meet safety and compliance standards.
- Proficient in automotive repairs.
- Able to troubleshoot basic automotive concerns.
- Communicate causes and recommended corrections for vehicle issues.
- Meet metric performance targets.
- Use basic computer systems.
- Organized and punctual.
- Maintain a safe, compliant workspace.
- Learn and comply with Drive Time standards.
- High School Diploma or GED required; certification or associate degree in automotive technology or equivalent work experience (3+ years).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to communicate in English for a safety‑sensitive technical environment.
- Lifting up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting from various levels.
- Carrying and transporting up to 60 pounds up to 20 feet.
- Standing for extended periods with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, and stooping in a potentially cold, hot, noisy, wet environment with fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity.
- Use of safety equipment such as face shield or goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments.
- Some driving and frequent typing required.
- Adhere to regular and predictable attendance.
