Position: MEDICAL ASSISTANT – INSTRUCTOR – 2 EVENINGS/WEEK (Monday–Thursday)
About the RoleWe are looking for Instructors for evening classes from 5:30PM to 10PM, with opportunities for morning classes Monday–Friday 8:30AM–1PM on a PRN basis as needed. Our non‑profit secondary education centers are dedicated to training students for essential healthcare careers.
We seek experienced Medical Assistants to become fully trained instructors, teaching year‑round classes as Primary Scheduled Instructors and serving as Secondary Instructors or substitutes when required.

Medical Assistant Instructor Duties- Teach Medical Assisting classroom sessions with a maximum of 24 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
- Conduct 4.5‑hour classes, either during the day or evenings.
- Study and deliver lectures and demonstrations using Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
- Work part‑time, typically 9 hours per week.

- 3+ years of experience in the medical assisting field and formal training from an accredited institution.
- Must be able to obtain a national certification as a medical assistant. If lacking formal education, a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the medical field and a national certification is required.
- Interest in teaching or prior teaching experience.
- Flexibility and a passion to learn and grow.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move around the building and classroom, and facilitate student participation.
- Visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use a whiteboard and classroom/office equipment.
- Proficiency in using current technology to maintain student records.
- Strong communication skills for classroom and individual settings.
- Knowledge of subjects taught and ability to use and communicate Ross curriculum.
- Adaptability in a fast‑paced work environment.
- Commitment to professionalism in manner, dress, and conduct as a representative of Ross.
- Objective treatment of all students equally and adherence to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
- Prior teaching or formal tutoring experience using a developed curriculum is preferred.
- Ability to perform related work as required.
- Ability to travel to visit clinical sites or other meetings (for Clinical Coordinators).
