In this role, you’ll teach in an elementary K-1 ACT 18 ASD classroom, working closely within a well-supported team in a setting that provides both structure and room for creativity. The classroom features a small group of 7-8 students, a certified curriculum, and robust support—including paraprofessionals and specialists in speech, social work, occupational therapy, and autism spectrum disorders.

Qualifications:
  • Current Special Education Teacher certification, elementary level
  • ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) certification required
  • Previous experience with K-1 or similar age group preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Lead a K-1 ACT 18 ASD classroom, delivering individualized and curriculum-based instruction
  • Collaborate with paraprofessionals and the multidisciplinary support team
  • Adapt and implement a newly provided curriculum to meet each student’s needs
  • Maintain documentation and communicate progress with families and school staff
