Position DescriptionWe are seeking an IT Network Administrator to help ensure the overall performance and maintenance of the enterprise network environment operates at the highest level possible. This role partners closely with members of the Information Technology group and end users.
Typical Responsibilities- Install, and maintain IT communication equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, WAN/VPN appliances, Wi‑Fi devices, and related infrastructure.
- Perform routine LAN/WAN installations, configurations, backups, and maintenance.
- Monitor network performance and make needed corrections.
- Follow the direction of the Network Engineer/Architect to maintain best practice security standards related to network design and equipment.
- Monitor SD‑WAN for any down circuits or other connectivity problems.
- Maintain network installation, configuration, and maintenance documentation.
- Provide next‑level support for network related Service Desk escalations.
- Communicate problems and resolutions to Network Engineer and other IT Staff.
- Ability to learn new or unfamiliar technologies using documentation and public resources.
- Travel to office locations as needed for network installations and support.
- Maintain excellent client relations.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- High school diploma required.
- Associate degree in Computer Information Systems or another related field is preferred.
- 3‑5 years of applicable experience.
- Must have a solid understanding of new technologies and a desire for continual learning.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP and related protocols, LAN Switching, WAN technologies, and network security.
- Demonstrable skill with FortiOS and similar network device operating systems.
- Administration experience with external DNS, domain registration, and internet topologies.
- Experience with Linux/Unix and Windows server administration.
- Familiarity with Teams Voice and other telephony components.
- Familiarity with Visio, O365, and other common business applications.
- Industry‑related certification(s) such as CCNA or similar preferred.
- Familiarity with Cisco IOS is a plus.
