Laser Parts Puller
Our client in Taylor, MI is in need of Parts Pullers for their facility. They have a 3rd shift position available, $16.45 per hour, Monday-Friday with possible overtime.
The purpose of this job is to perform miscellaneous general labor activities, including pulling parts off a laser machine.
Essential functions of the job include:
- Operating machinery and equipment as directed; pulling parts off the laser machine
- Counting parts accurately that are produced by various machines and equipment
- where required; processing parts (clean, finish, assemble, package and transport)
- Cleaning and other general shop tasks
- Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

- Safely and effectively operate various machinery and equipment
- Produce (quality and quantity) parts that meet specifications and expected output levels
- Visually identify and correct deficiencies in parts produced
- Interact appropriately and collaborate with fellow employees and management
- Communicate effectively (written and oral) with other employees and management
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Work efficiently in a fast paced manufacturing environment with the flexibility to prioritize duties and multi-task at different levels.
Equipment operated as part of the essential functions includes but is not limited to:
- General metalworking, stamping equipment, saws, hand grinding tools, grinders, forklift truck, telephone and computer and related technology.
Attendance/Hours required as part of the essential functions:
Full time, 40 hour, 5 day work week unless the company approves less than full-time employment. Ability to work overtime to accommodate production and delivery schedules will be required.
Physical requirements which are part of the essential functions: standing, sitting, moving, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping hearing or equivalent, sight-visual acuity. Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers including fine, highly controlled muscular movements to adjust the position of a control mechanism; skillful, controlled manipulations of small objects; coordinating the movement of more than one limb simultaneously and bending or stooping repeatedly or continually over time.
Mental requirements which are part of the essential functions:
The ability to read and understand job instructions, effectively communicate and interact with others.
Educational and or prior experience requirements include: familiarity with general metalworking and stamping equipment. Laborers will receive on the job training in the operation and controls of specific machinery.
Working conditions you must be able to work in which is part of the essential functions include:
Typical conditions for a manufacturing environment. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; safety glasses, hearing protection (optional), appropriate shoes, loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
Quality of work you must produce which is part of the essential functions:
All parts produced must meet stated QC and customer specifications. The individual in this position must consistently meet these specifications.
