WELD NUT OPERATOR

Our client in Taylor, MI is searching for a Weld Nut Operator for their facility. This position will train on 1st shift (7a-3pm) $16 per hour, before moving to a 3rd shift position (11p-7a), Monday-Friday with possible overtime, $16.45 per hour, and is contract to hire.

The essential functions of the job include:

• Operating machinery and equipment as directed; processing parts (weld, clean, package and transport)
• Cleaning and other general shop tasks
• Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Skills required to carry out the essential functions include the ability to:

• Learn and master new skills; understand and follow directions and rules
• Safely and effectively operate various machinery and equipment
• Produce (quality and quantity) parts that meet specifications and expected output levels
• Visually identify and correct deficiencies in parts produced
• Interact appropriately and collaborate with fellow employees and management
• Communicate effectively (written and oral) with other employees and management; demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
• Work efficiently in a fast paced manufacturing environment with the flexibility to prioritize duties and multi-task at different levels

Equipment operated as part of the essential functions: (includes but is not limited to)

• Resistance welders, hand grinding tools, forklift truck, telephone and computer and related technology.
