Forklift Operator / Baler Operator

Cardinal Staffing is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator / Baler Operator to support daily warehouse and production operations. This position is responsible for safely operating a forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the facility, while also operating the industrial baler to process recyclable and scrap materials.

The ideal candidate will have previous forklift experience, strong attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing/warehouse environment.

• Safely operate a forklift to transport materials throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and production materials as needed.
• Move finished products, raw materials, pallets, and supplies to designated areas.
• Stage materials for production and shipping.
• Operate the industrial baler to compact cardboard, plastic, and other approved recyclable materials.
• Prepare, secure, and remove completed bales according to company procedures.
• Sort and dispose of scrap and recyclable materials appropriately.
• Maintain clean and organized production, warehouse, and baler areas.
• Inspect forklift and baler equipment before use and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Assist with inventory movement and material organization.
• Follow all OSHA, company, and facility safety procedures.
• Use proper PPE and safe material-handling practices.
• Assist with general warehouse and production duties when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• Previous forklift operating experience required.
• Previous baler or industrial equipment experience preferred.
• Ability to safely maneuver a forklift in warehouse and production environments.
• Knowledge of basic warehouse and material-handling procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and reach throughout the shift.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and move materials as required.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely enter and exit forklift equipment throughout the workday.
