Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Taylor Mill Primary Care Job Type Regular Scheduled Hours
40 hours per week Job Summary Reports to the Operations Manager or Team Leader, the LPN provides clinical support to physicians and mid‑level providers. The LPN gives instructions to patients as directed by the providers and is responsible for compliance with all OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations, ensuring completion of all duties vital to business operations. - Provide patient care by giving clear direction and addressing patient concerns during the exam; document appropriately in the patient chart.
- Ensure completion of all forms vital to the revenue cycle (e.g., verification/clarification of orders, waivers for non‑covered services, encounter form).
- Provide instructions to patients under the direction of the provider(s).
- Maintain complete and accurate information in the patient chart.
- Maintain adequate supplies in exam rooms and workstations.
- Clean and disinfect exam rooms.
- Perform cleaning, maintenance, and/or sterilization of equipment and instruments; report malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
- Ensure OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA compliance.
- Assist with patient requests.
- Complete referral processes, outpatient test scheduling, and precertification.
- File and distribute all patient information timely and accurately.
- Interact with the Central Billing Office as needed to resolve patient issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks; knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; ability to learn other computer skills.
- Good organizational skills and professionalism when working with doctors, hospital administration, management, SEP employees, and the public.
- Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team‑based decision‑making culture.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, achieving effective outcomes and on‑time performance.
- Experience in planning and coordinating multidisciplinary communications strategies, strategic initiatives, and events.
- Respond promptly to customer requests and follow through as required.
- Work carefully and precisely with attention to detail.
- Utilize resources wisely.
- Perform duties willingly with initiative; share necessary information so co‑workers can do the same.
