Position:
Vehicle Sales Representative (VSR)

Location:

Taylor, MI 48180

Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Hourly Pay: $24, paid weekly, plus a monthly per‑vehicle sale incentive.

Responsibilities
  • Work as the frontline Sales Agent for Vehicle Sales, interacting with customers in person, online, and by phone.
  • Execute the UTC’s marketing plan, including product selection for periodicals, trade associations, and industry‑specific campaigns.
  • Coordinate outbound marketing efforts such as phone calls, marketing mailers, and Thank You cards.
  • Act as a liaison between Asset Management, Rental, and Lease product lines.
  • Maintain the Lead Tracker database with accuracy and ensure it reflects current marketing efforts.
  • Understand the used‑vehicle marketplace and local competitors.
  • Cover for the Vehicle Sales Manager (VSM) at their location and at other locations as needed.
  • Structure and sell all ancillary products (Finance and Extended Warranty) to meet customer needs and Ryder’s expectations.
  • Develop and expand relationships with existing customers using all communication avenues to meet and exceed retention levels.
  • Perform weekly yard checks, document inventory, and occasionally drive trucks within the UTC boundaries.
  • Manage unit files and sales recording systems, including titling, licensing, and legal sale documents.
  • Ensure mandatory compliance with Sarbanes‑Oxley, Safety STAR Program, and other company communications/initiatives.
  • Maintain the UTC supply inventory, vehicle sales compliance, and cash log.
  • Assist with all aspects of the sales process to increase location sales, maximize proceeds, and improve retail activity.
  • Maintain a neat and orderly work environment and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One to three years or more of sales and/or customer service experience.
  • Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Internet (advanced).
  • Travel required.
