Maintain a safe and peaceful environment for all individuals on hospital property; patrol campus on foot and in vehicle or bike as assigned; assist patients, visitors, and employees; enforce hospital rules and policies; monitor Security Operations Center including phones, alarms, cameras, and radio traffic; provide reporting to management; investigate suspected crimes on hospital grounds and off-site locations; cooperate with law enforcement;
provide security escorts and assistance; de-escalate volatile situations using non-violent methods; assist nursing staff with patient restraint as ordered by a physician; respond to emergencies including CPR/first aid; conduct Hazmat/decontamination procedures as needed; inspect firefighting equipment and participate in drills; coordinate with authorities for arrests under PA 330 when required; ensure compliance with Michigan law and local ordinances
