Apartment Maintenance Technician

McKinley is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at one of our communities located in Taylor, MI
.

$18 - $24/hour based on experience + on call bonuses.

As the Maintenance and Grounds expert of your community you will be responsible for completing work orders to maintain and repair physical structures of buildings and grounds.

• Diagnose problems and make repairs in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall repair, appliance maintenance, carpet cleaning and exterior structure maintenance.
• Ensure the physical aspects of the property meet company standards and applicable laws.
• Keep the apartment community clean and orderly.

• Minimum of six months of related experience and/or training, including plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and carpentry.
• Desire to provide exceptional customer service with every interaction.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism.
• Comfortable bringing and using own basic hand tools at work.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; must drive own vehicle around the property.
• Walk between buildings; a golf cart is not provided.
• On‑call duty including weekends, holidays, and snow removal during winter months.
• Previous property management experience is preferred, but not required.
