About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection Construction Manager for a state-of-the-art semiconductor FAB construction project in Taylor, TX. As our Fire Protection Construction Manager, you will play a critical role in leading all fire protection construction activities for our Greenfield semiconductor factory. You will work on-site as a key member of our project management team, overseeing the entire lifecycle of the project from inception through construction, commissioning, and final closeout while driving safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities- Own and Manage Fire Protection Work: Lead all fire protection construction activities for the Greenfield semiconductor factory from inception through completion.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Serve as a key stakeholder on the on-site project management team to plan, organize, and supervise the project through construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Stakeholder Relations: Maintain productive relationships with internal business partners, clients, and external parties.
- Communication: Effectively communicate project status to project management, clients, internal customers, and external stakeholders as appropriate.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize and become proficient in construction management programs and tools, including Microsoft Project, Excel, and Primavera P6.
- Schedule & Budget Control: Ensure project schedules, budgets, and forecasts are developed, tracked, and executed in alignment with project goals.
- Reporting &
Collaboration:
Prepare project reports and documentation while maintaining seamless communication with the facilities operations team, engineering/design teams, and client management. - Leadership & Labor Relations: Demonstrate strong leadership with clients and trade labor to encourage and enable craft productivity and continuous improvements.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of construction management experience, specifically in fire protection works, preferably within the semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of fire protection systems and familiarity with NFPA standards and fire alarm/suppression (FARS) system requirements preferred.
- Software
Skills:
Knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks is strongly preferred. - Work Style: Ability to work independently or within a team with minimal supervision in a culturally diverse environment.

Skills:
Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, encompassing both written and oral proficiencies. - Labor
Collaboration:
Demonstrated ability to build good working relationships with trade labor to drive craft productivity improvements.
