Position SummaryIn your role as the TTTM (Tool to tool Matching) Innovation Engineer, you will lead engineering activities that play a critical role at Samsung Austin Semiconductor by managing quality for new product introduction and change point management. You will bridge technology development, process integration, process engineering, sales, customer, and manufacturing teams during the transition from process/product development to volume production in a highly complex semiconductor industry environment, delivering products on time that exceed customer requirements.
RoleAnd Responsibilities
Here's what you'll be responsible for:
- Set, track, and meet daily, weekly, or project-based goals and deadlines; and create, maintain, and update team documentation and reports.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback to support professional development.
- Establish and maintain robust feedback loops between users, stakeholders, and the development team to ensure the product evolves alongside changing company needs.
- Regularly analyze product metrics and user feedback to identify friction points and lead the continuous improvement of the user experience.
- Translate Voice of Customer and sentiment analysis into actionable user stories and clear acceptance criteria for the development team.
- Design and maintain structured Confluence to share product roadmaps, project posters, and launch checklists, facilitating seamless async collaboration with stakeholders.
- Establish a new local business process that confirms various quality checks for new-technology introduction (NTI) products at development stages, and confirm new-product introduction (NPI) mass production readiness using a checklist/approval system before starting production lots.
- Create local TTTM procedures and guides to fulfill TTTM requirements for new process qualification.
- Establish improved change control management process for changes occurring during technology development, and work to establish alignment between sites (both locally and in Korea) for tool specifications and variance countermeasures.
Here's what you'll need:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a high-volume production semiconductor industry environment.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductor process device physics and failure analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies: SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D problem-solving, and statistical analysis.
- Understanding of industry standards and customer requirements in semiconductors (e.g., automotive, consumer, data center).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Jira, and Confluence.
The current base salary range for this role is $83,000 - $206,000. Total compensation will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs. Eligible full-time employees (salaried or hourly) may also receive MBO bonuses based on company, division, and individual performance. All positions are full-time on-site.
