Implant Equipment Engineer - Night

Position Summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an equipment engineer to partner with a talented team focused on establishing and maintaining world‑class process and equipment performance. The role involves implementing yield enhancement strategies, troubleshooting complex problems, and executing solutions that deliver a competitive advantage.

• Monitor wafer fabrication equipment and respond to issues.
• Qualify new manufacturing equipment and coordinate scheduling of qualifications and downtime with manufacturing.
• Use software to analyze data, identify trends, and make decisions about processing products.
• Adjust equipment parameters when exceeded and monitor process parameters as tools return from maintenance.
• Execute in‑line changes (CPM) to process or equipment.
• Communicate technical information within the department through presentations.
• Continuously revise SOPs and develop improved processes to increase capability.
• Monitor operations costs and develop cost reduction projects.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Material Science, or Computer Science (new graduates must have a minimum GPA of 3.0).
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, VBA or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of statistical methods.
• Knowledge of Change Point Management and Lean, TPS, or 5S principles.
• Structured problem‑solving experience (8‑D, 7‑step, etc.).
• Experience with data‑analysis software (Spotfire, JMP, MATLAB, etc.).
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment or process failures.
• Willingness to wear a clean‑room suit and PPE, lift
