Position SummaryIn your role as an Equipment Engineer you'll work to support equipment and process capabilities of 300mm tools for the Implant department in Taylor, TX. You will be a part of a team that focuses on installing and keeping tools running at peak efficiency and drive yield improvements, reduce defects, optimize operating costs, and implement continuous-improvement initiatives within a start-up environment.
Roleand Responsibilities
Here's what you'll be responsible for:
- Lead installation to qualify Implant equipment to meet Samsung production readiness timelines while ensuring a defect-free installation.
- Maintain equipment uptime performance through real-time issue resolution (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, defects) and by driving continuous improvements.
- Revise and maintain SOPs, record daily tool activity, generate gameplans and capture lessons learned to support our operations team.
- Collaborate with major equipment vendors (AMAT, Nissin, Axcelis, etc) for technical issues, new product introductions, and improvements.
- Leads cross-functional initiatives relating to equipment and process interactions such as improving yield, reducing wafer loss, or other department metrics.
Here's what you'll need:
- 4+ years of industry experience as a Tool Owner within Implant.
- BS/MS degree in Electrical, Chemical, Physics, or Mechanical Engineering or related field of study
- Strong understanding of Implants role within the wafer fabrication process and a familiarity with various failure modes.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, utilizing data and a structured problem-solving approach
- Flexibility to support operations in a 24/7 high volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
