Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Infrastructure Hardware Technician to support data center operations. This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting physical IT hardware such as servers, storage, power, and cooling systems. You will follow standard procedures to ensure systems are running safely and reliably around the clock.
Work Schedule
  • Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Rotating schedules including weekends
  • Must be available for 24/7 operations as required
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor data center systems 24/7 using standard operating procedures
  • Install, remove, replace, and organize servers and storage equipment (rack and stack)
  • Perform hardware troubleshooting and replace failed components (hard drives, memory, power supplies, network cards)
  • Ensure equipment is installed following data center standards and safety rules
  • Identify and fix hardware, operating system, application, and basic network issues
  • Keep accurate records of hardware inventory and system documentation
  • Work closely with engineering teams to support data center infrastructure
  • Perform visual inspections and routine facility checks
  • Support basic facility systems such as power, cabling, cooling, generators, and low-voltage systems
Required Qualifications
  • Experience working in data center or mission-critical environments
  • Strong knowledge of servers, storage, and networking hardware
    • Experience with Dell or HP servers, enterprise storage systems, PDUs preferred
  • Basic understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Ability to lift equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces or at heights
  • Willing to work extended hours or rotating shifts when needed
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications in Linux, Windows, networking, or storage
  • Experience with enterprise storage or data center power systems
  • Prior hands-on hardware support experience
Education & Experience
  • Associate Degree or higher, or equivalent work experience and certifications
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in data center or hardware support roles
