Job Summary

W e are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale digital experience platforms. This role requires deep expertise across AEM Sites, Assets, Forms, and AEM as a Cloud Service, combined with the architectural vision necessary to build scalable, secure, high-performing, and maintainable solutions aligned with business objectives.

  • Design end-to-end AEM architectures supporting multi-site, multi-tenant, and multilingual enterprise environments, including author/publish topology, Dispatcher configuration, and CDN integration.
  • Define scalable content architectures, JCR repository structures, taxonomy models, tagging strategies, and metadata schemas.
  • Architect reusable component libraries utilizing Core Components, custom components, editable templates, and Style Systems aligned with enterprise design standards.
  • Lead AEM Cloud Service migration initiatives, including platform assessments, content migration planning, code modernization, and production deployment.
  • Design integrations with Adobe Experience Cloud products (Analytics, Target, Campaign, Launch/Tags) and third-party platforms using APIs, event-driven architectures, and webhooks.
  • Own and govern the AEM application landscape, including OSGi bundles, Sling Models, Servlets, Workflows, Schedulers, and custom platform extensions.
  • Establish development standards, coding guidelines, pull request review processes, testing frameworks, and documentation practices.
  • Design and implement Cloud Manager deployment pipelines, including Front-End, Full Stack, and Configuration pipelines with automated quality gates.
  • Build and maintain Dispatcher configurations for caching, security, URL management, and environment optimization.
  • Implement Digital Asset Management (DAM) workflows, rendition pipelines, Smart Tags integration, and metadata governance within AEM Assets.
  • Conduct platform performance analysis and optimization, including component rendering, query tuning, Oak index optimization, and caching strategies.
  • Enforce security best practices, including service-user configuration, ACL management, CSRF protection, Sling security frameworks, and Adobe IMS integration.
  • Define replication strategies, content distribution models, Multi Site Manager (MSM) architectures, and global content rollout processes.
  • Monitor cloud environments using Cloud Manager, New Relic, Splunk, Datadog, and other observability platforms while establishing operational runbooks and alerting strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, UX teams, architects, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to AEM developers through architecture reviews, design workshops, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Create and maintain architecture decision records (ADRs), technical design documentation, operational runbooks, and onboarding materials.
  • Evaluate emerging Adobe technologies, third-party integrations, and platform enhancements to support long-term digital experience strategies.
Job Skills Required
  • Mini mum
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years focused on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM/CQ5).
  • Demonstrated success architecting and delivering multiple large-scale AEM implementations from discovery through production deployment.
  • Hands-on experience with AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), including Cloud Manager, environment management, and migration tooling.
  • AEM Platform: AEM Sites, Assets, Forms, Screens, and Commerce, OSGi Framework (Apache Felix), Apache Sling Resources, Resolvers, and Servlets, JCR (Apache Jackrabbit Oak), HTL (Sightly) and Sling Models, AEM Core Components, Workflows, Launchers, Event Handlers, and Schedulers
  • Development & Dev Ops:
    Java 25, Maven Multi-Module Projects, Git, Git Hub, Git Lab, Trunk-Based Development, Docker and Kubernetes, Adobe Cloud Manager, Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops, REST and Graph
