Supervisor, Weatherization Inspections supervises the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of a team of Weatherization Inspectors, blending field inspection responsibilities with staff supervision, coaching, and talent development. This critical leadership role stands at the forefront of ensuring the reliability and resilience of the ERCOT electric grid. The Supervisor drives operational excellence by collaborating across ERCOT and with Market Participants to plan, schedule, assign, and execute inspections effectively, while fostering organizational capacity and future readiness.

This leadership directly contributes to ERCOT’s operational goals and supports the grid’s preparedness to withstand extreme weather events.

JOB DUTIES
* Responsible for hiring, coaching, training, and performance management of staff.
* Oversees and empowers inspectors in the field, ensuring the highest standards of inspection quality, approving comprehensive inspection reports, and supporting inspectors in resolving complex issues.
* Drives the strategic planning, scheduling, and efficient execution of seasonal inspection assignments across designated ERCOT regions, taking direct ownership for prioritizing assignments and optimizing resource allocation to consistently meet ERCOT's critical operational targets, including the rigorous review of inspector schedules prior to Service Now work order creation.
* Provides expert technical oversight for on-site and remote inspections of generation resources and transmission facilities, ensuring compliance with weatherization standards.
* Serves as a primary liaison and trusted advisor to Market Participants, Weatherization and Inspection Leadership team, cross-functional teams, external inspectors, and other stakeholders, fostering strong professional relationships critical to program success.
* Frequently interacts with direct reports and functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others.
* Provides direct supervision to professional individual contributors and/or skilled, support individual contributors. Acts as an advisor to department and may become actively involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. A small portion of time is normally spent performing individual tasks related to the department. Typically has full responsibility for direct reports.
* Provide input to budgeting and financial decisions that impact the department. Requests approval for financial actions beyond a limited scope per policy.
