Responsibilities
  • Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods and receiving incoming shipments.
  • Handle unusual non‑routine problems, receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.
  • Perform day‑to‑day, routine tasks, follows TAB's established guidelines.
  • Removing material from storage racks and preparing it for shipment.
  • Loading trucks to ship products to customers. (Direct)
  • Unloading received products from the trucks. (Direct)
  • Shipping duties typically involve the following:
    Verifying that orders are accurately filled by comparing items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents; ensuring that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information, and loaded into transporting vehicles; and preparing and keeping records of goods shipped, e.g., manifests, bills of lading.
  • Receiving duties typically involve the following:
    Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records; checking for damaged goods; ensuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing to departments within the establishment; preparing and keeping records of goods received.
  • Complies with and assists other employees understand and comply with TAB's Safety and Security policies and guidelines.
  • Behaves in accordance with the key behaviors aligned with TAB's Core Values of Leadership, Integrity, Growth & Innovation, Heart and Teamwork (LIGHT).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records.
  • Knowledge of safety around heavy machinery.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical Requirements

With or without reasonable accommodation, employees in this position must be able to:

  • Ability to be in a stationary position (stand/sit) for 4‑8 hours.
  • Have strong dexterity capabilities to grasp, assemble, and manipulate objects.
  • Ability to stand for 7‑8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 10‑35 lbs. at times.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, adjust position for 50% of time.
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions with varying temperature, including cold and/or heat.
