Job Description
Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a global, industry-leading semiconductor manufacturing company to identify a Safety Specialist to support employees working onsite at one of their customer locations. This role requires a current OSHA 30 certification
.
The Safety Specialist will be responsible for enforcing safety compliance, delivering bilingual safety training, and serving as a key liaison between employees, site leadership, and customer EHS teams.
About the Customer:
The customer is a world-class semiconductor and advanced technology manufacturer operating a large-scale, highly regulated production facility with strict environmental, health, and safety standards. The site supports complex manufacturing operations and maintains rigorous contractor and employee safety expectations.
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Key Responsibilities- Oversee workplace safety for partner-company employees assigned to the customer site
- Conduct safety orientations, trainings, and daily communications in Korean and English
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations (OSHA 30 required) and customer-specific safety standards
- Serve as the primary safety point of contact between employees, onsite leadership, and customer EHS teams
- Perform safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries; document findings and implement corrective actions
- Maintain OSHA logs and required safety documentation
- Monitor PPE usage and safe work practices
- Support emergency response procedures, drills, and incident reporting
- Coach supervisors and employees to promote a strong, proactive safety culture
- OSHA 30 certification – REQUIRED
- Fluent in Korean and English (spoken and written) – Preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a safety role within manufacturing, industrial, construction, or high-tech environments
- Experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing environments is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety programs
- Experience supporting employees at customer or contractor sites
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Familiarity with contractor safety and customer EHS programs
- Clear, confident communicator in both Korean and English, preferred
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Detail-oriented with a proactive safety mindset
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple organizations
