Position SummaryThis position will be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers in set‑up and calibration tasks, system support, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as supply chain management integration and practice. The use of sophisticated programs is necessary to collect and evaluate quality and supply chain data to conduct in‑line adjustments to repaired or cleaned parts.
This role will determine and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the quality management or SCM process. Calibration of various measurement tools will be performed as well as processing them out to dedicated calibration vendors. Compliance with all health, safety and environmental management, system guidelines is required.
All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor are full‑time on‑site.
Role And Responsibilities- Supply chain and part quality troubleshooting/problem solving. Vendor, engineering, and unit part collaboration. Industry knowledge, part familiarization, and advanced training required.
- Monitor performance/process. Supply chain and part quality monitoring system analysis of current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
- Collect and process out various types of measurement hand tools and equipment to calibration vendors. Will also perform many calibrations in house.
- Perform incoming and outgoing advanced part inspections to identify abnormalities, discrepancies, or quality concerns. Disposition per procedure or through problem solving methods. Engineering collaboration likely.
- Use advanced measurement equipment to measure and test outbound and inbound parts.
- Work shift:
C shift, Thursday through Saturday (6:45am – 7:15pm) with alternating Wednesdays.
- Associate’s degree or military equivalent, or a minimum of 3 years of experience as a semiconductor technician.
- Encouraged certifications: ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT), Master Certified Electronics Technician (CETma), Certified Quality Technician (CQT).
Knowledge and skills:
- Supply chain management, statistics, active in Nano Worksmart, part inspection, sampling and testing.
- Equipment troubleshooting and part replacement, metrology.
- Proficient with multi‑meters, oscilloscopes, torque, and scales.
The current base salary range for this role is between $20.50–$46.00 per hour. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
