PositionSummary
Perform a variety of operations in a cleanroom setting to manufacture and qualify High Purity (HP) gas lines and manifolds. All welding supports the HP gas and chemical delivery product lines, including gas cabinets, VMB’s and panels.
Key Responsibilities- Perform orbital welding of stainless‑steel tubing and components
- Working knowledge of orbital weld machines (power supplies, weld heads and supporting equipment)
- Cutting, facing, prepping of stainless steel and components
- Create and log weld coupons
- Recommend improvement in quality or production standards to achieve optimum performance
- Read, analyze, and interpret P&’s, technical drawings, understand the scope‑of‑work
- Visually inspect work performed for quality, cosmetics, workmanship and conformance to drawings
- Leak test capability and experience is a plus
- Perform other duties as assigned
- A minimum 2+ years’ experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an orbital welder; field service experience is a plus
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to redline documentation to represent as‑built condition
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Values meaningful, long‑standing relationships
- High degree of orbital welding aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to interpret build‑to‑print diagrams and engineering drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform to complex requirements
- Excellent customer service skills, including effective listening
- Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing high‑pressure environment
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent problem‑solving ability
- Flexibility to work overtime, holidays and off‑shift hours as needed
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products
- Frequent time spent on active construction sites
- Sit, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel
- Occasionally reach, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds
- Work in variable weather conditions and environments with moderate to high noise levels
