Semiconductor Orbital Welder

Perform a variety of operations in a cleanroom setting to manufacture and qualify High Purity (HP) gas lines and manifolds. All welding supports the HP gas and chemical delivery product lines, including gas cabinets, VMB’s and panels.

• Perform orbital welding of stainless‑steel tubing and components
• Working knowledge of orbital weld machines (power supplies, weld heads and supporting equipment)
• Cutting, facing, prepping of stainless steel and components
• Create and log weld coupons
• Recommend improvement in quality or production standards to achieve optimum performance
• Read, analyze, and interpret P&’s, technical drawings, understand the scope‑of‑work
• Visually inspect work performed for quality, cosmetics, workmanship and conformance to drawings
• Leak test capability and experience is a plus
• Perform other duties as assigned

• A minimum 2+ years’ experience in a semiconductor manufacturing environment as an orbital welder; field service experience is a plus
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to redline documentation to represent as‑built condition

• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Values meaningful, long‑standing relationships
• High degree of orbital welding aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to interpret build‑to‑print diagrams and engineering drawings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and ability to perform to complex requirements
• Excellent customer service skills, including effective listening
• Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing high‑pressure environment
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent problem‑solving ability
• Flexibility to work overtime, holidays and off‑shift hours as needed
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office products

• Frequent time spent on active construction sites

• Sit, talk, hear, and use hands to handle or feel
• Occasionally reach, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds
• Work in variable weather conditions and environments with moderate to high noise levels
