Full-time position, 40 hours per week (5/8's). No per diem or relocation assistance.

• Focus on life-safety components in HVAC systems.
• Comply with OSHA regulations and building codes.
• Oversee lockout/tagout procedures for energized electrical systems and enforce strict personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
• Monitor the safe handling, recovery and disposal of hazardous refrigerants in accordance with EPA standards.
• Inspect ventilation in environments that involve flammable gases and dust.
• Identify hazards and enforce safety regarding high-voltage electricity and refrigerants.
• Investigate on-site accidents or equipment failures, documenting causes and implementing corrective measures.
• Provide HVAC team training regarding hazardous material handling, confined space work and ladder safety.
• Order and maintain parts needed to repair and maintain HVAC equipment.
• Must be able to perform work wearing personnel protective equipment including but not limited to the following: rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, sandblast hoods, fire resistant coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, be able to reach overhead, be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting, use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, work at heights and balance for extended periods of time.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Education – High School Diploma or GED; minimum OSHA 30; NCCER in safety a plus.
• Experience – 1 to 3 years of safety experience.
• Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug screening and background check.
• Must have OSHA 30 certification.
