Position Summary
This position is for an Implant Engineer who will support equipment and process capabilities of ion implantation or rapid thermal processing (RTP) equipment. The Engineer will maintain and improve 300mm state‑of‑the‑art tools while driving improvements related to quality, efficiency, defect reduction, and cost of ownership.
Responsibilities- Maintain and upgrade 300mm implant/RTP tools.
- Apply 6S & Lean principles and identify and mitigate safety risks.
- Analyze data to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
- Provide on‑call support to technicians and develop recovery plans.
- Document daily tool activity and update SOPs.
- Lead process qualification for new devices and tool installations.
- Develop projects for cost, particle, downtime reduction, and part‑life extension.
- Manage vendor support and coordinate cross‑department risk‑mitigation.
- BS in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of semiconductor experience with knowledge of implant or anneal processes and equipment preferred.
- Experience with 300mm tools such as AMAT VIISta, NISSIN, AMAT Centura, VeecoLSA‑101, Mattson Millios.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude (highly desired).
- Knowledge of Lean and TPM.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Collaborative mindset with ability to network for solutions.
- Willingness to learn from failures and improve processes.
- Flexibility to work 24/7 high‑volume manufacturing schedule.
Base salary range: $70,480–$179,090, based on duties, location, education, skills and experience. Total compensation includes a competitive benefits package and may include incentive compensation.
Shifts:
Day – Sundays‑Tuesdays 6:45am–7:15pm (Shift
A) with alternating Wednesdays;
Wednesdays‑Fridays 6:45pm–6:45am (Shift
D) with alternating Saturdays;
Night – Sundays‑Tuesdays 6:45pm–6:45am (Shift
B) with alternating Saturdays;
Thursdays‑Saturdays 6:45pm–6:45am (Shift
C) with alternating Wednesdays.
