Position SummaryAs a member of the Manufacturing Operations Shift Technician team, you will perform activities that improve the flow of production through sections of the line during your shift, while achieving world‑class speed and quality. You will work with engineers on tool and PRC performance, using sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate data‑based block, tool, and PRC performance. Duties include troubleshooting advanced production issues using a computer, making high‑level decisions based on best known methods, tracking, documenting, and communicating production roadblocks, and acting as a team leader with outside departments to improve manufacturing performance.
Roleand Responsibilities
- Use extensive knowledge of Samsung’s scheduling and reporting systems, and manufacturing knowledge, to improve factory bottlenecks.
- Conduct intermediate data analysis of manufacturing metrics (WPD, tool output, rundown, etc.).
- Pinpoint bottleneck areas and take actions to help improve line movement and line balance.
- Perform intermediate troubleshooting and root‑cause investigation of production roadblocks up to the 1st and 2nd order of a catalyst event.
- Effectively communicate status updates and help needs to upper‑level management within the department.
- Work as a team leader both within and outside of the department; serve as a lead/backup supervisor depending on business need.
B Shift – Sunday through Tuesday (6:45pm – 7:15am) with alternating Saturday.
Skills and Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 3+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing is preferred.
- Intermediate computer skills (>>30 WPM typing ability).
- Self‑motivated and strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong familiarity with Samsung automation and reporting systems.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to both follow and create documented procedures.
- Knowledge of manufacturing metrics (rundown, queue times, TAT, movement).
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
The current base salary range for this role is between $20.50 and $33.00 per hour. Individual base pay will depend on duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications, and experience.
