Position Summary
As an Equipment Engineer you will support the equipment and process capabilities of 300mm tools in the Implant department, keeping tools running at peak efficiency, driving yield improvements, reducing defects, cutting operating costs, and implementing continuous‑improvement initiatives across a 24×7 manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment performance in real‑time, identifying and resolving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and defect issues.
- Respond to alarms and execute recovery plans with technicians.
- Analyze data using software to determine root causes and make informed processing decisions.
- Lead new tool qualification and coordinate equipment maintenance and downtime with the manufacturing team.
- Execute Change‑Point Management (CPM) and revise/maintain SOPs, recording daily tool activity and lessons learned.
- Communicate technical updates via presentations to cross‑functional teams.
- Monitor operational costs and lead cost‑reduction projects.
- Document and track performance metrics such as yield, throughput, and particle counts.
- BS degree in Electrical, Chemical, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years semiconductor experience, preferably with Thermal Anneal (RTP) or Surface Treatment/Dry Etch processes and equipment.
- Experience with tools such as AMAT Centura, Radiance, DPN, DPX, DSA, Ajax, Mattson Millios, Suprema, Escala, LAM, Argos, Semes, HPA/LOHAS, Veeco LSA.
- Proven troubleshooting of equipment or process failures and experience with tool installation and setup.
- Understanding of statistical methods and structured problem‑solving (8D, 7‑step, etc.).
- Ability to wear clean room suits and PPE, lift less than 35 lbs, work in a fab environment, and sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
- Must discern audible alarms and may be exposed to yellow or blinking lights.
First shift, Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.
CompensationBase salary range: $70,480–$212,650, based on duties, location, education, skills, and experience. Total compensation may include incentive programs and company‑wide bonuses.
