* JOB SUMMARY:

** Automation Technician is responsible for the setup, programming, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support of advanced CNC and automated manufacturing equipment used to fabricate hard surface components. This position requires advanced knowledge of CNC machining processes, including 3-axis and 5-axis equipment, G/M coding, machine offsets, tooling, feeds and speeds, and interpretation of engineering drawings and production specifications. The role also supports robotic and automated manufacturing systems, assists with equipment deployment and operational readiness, collects operational data, escalates complex technical issues to engineering, and serves as a technical resource by training new Machine Operators.

* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*** Operate Advanced Automated Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment to fabricate solid surface parts
* Maintain full and current understanding of CNC machinery including G and M coding, maintenance, etc.
* Read and analyze drawings for accurate pattern customization
* Interpret and load all work order ticket programs as needed on all CNC machinery
* Program and operate CNC mills, lathes, or routers according to work instructions and safety guidelines.
* Troubleshoot major diagnostics & maintenance on assigned equipment
* Occasionally verify piece dimensions against ticket requirements utilizing measuring tools
* Inspect and verify piece & parts dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools. Monitor machine performance and report issues to machinists or supervisors.
* Perform machine offsets and minor adjustments to maintain part quality.
* Maintain or exceed expected output on pieces per hour
* Train all new Machine Operators as necessary
* Follow all safety and quality standards.
* Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
* Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
