About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced QC Supervisor (MDP) to lead quality control efforts for mechanical, duct, and piping scopes on a large-scale semiconductor construction project. This role is responsible for ensuring all quality processes, inspections, and compliance activities are executed effectively across construction teams and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage MDP (Mechanical, Duct, Piping) inspection activities on-site.
- Review inspection documentation and validate inspection readiness in the field.
- Identify and communicate non-compliance with codes, specifications, and standards; ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Provide final internal verification prior to client inspection requests (manage inspection pass/fail ratios).
- Manage non‑conformance reports (NCRs) and punch list items, ensuring timely resolution and prevention.
- Conduct regular audits of subcontractor work, fabrication shops, and installed systems.
- Inspect incoming materials and verify compliance with quality standards.
- Monitor material storage conditions and enforce quality requirements.
- Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ), including supporting required inspections.
- Collaborate with construction teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to maintain quality standards.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, records, and reporting.
- 5–10 years of experience in construction quality control, specifically in MDP scopes.
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification (required).
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API).
- Proven ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and inspection workflows.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑demand construction environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail with strong follow‑through and ownership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in large‑scale construction projects ($50M+).
- Background in semiconductor, oil & gas, or industrial construction.
- Experience with QA/QC processes and systems.
- Familiarity with Trimble or similar construction software.
- Experience working in multicultural or international project environments.
- Ability to work fully on‑site and commute daily to the project location.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Strong adaptability and proactive mindset in managing risk and quality issues.
