Job Overview
Laboratory Technician II – Laboratory & analysis. Air Liquide Electronics, Balazs Nanoanalysis, the lab analysts run routine sample analyses per established SOPs, perform laboratory quality control checks, calibrate instruments, and maintain a clean, organized lab environment while adhering to Air Liquide safety and quality protocols.

- Ensure safe completion of all tasks in the lab.
- Tune and calibrate analytical instruments.
- High‑volume analysis of semiconductor grade chemicals for trace impurities or assay.
- Perform other analytical duties as assigned by the laboratory manager.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance of analytical laboratory instrumentation.
- Communicate test results in a timely manner to factory customers to support manufacturing.
- Participate in the documentation of quality control standards and analytical results.
- Cross‑train on a variety of analytical lab tests.
- Participate in the optimization of sample cycle times and continuous laboratory improvements.
- Work with laboratory personnel to ensure supplies are maintained.
- Answer customer and management questions about sample status.
- Participate in the documentation of safety protocols.
- Ensure unresolved analytical/instrumentation/LIMS/sample issues are escalated.
- Implement safety and quality improvements.
- Attend Air Liquide town halls.
- Implement and maintain 5S organizational principles.
- Assist customers with issues with LIMS, databases, etc.
- Follow up on samples with long dwell times.
- Troubleshoot instrument and sample analysis issues as directed by SOP/Chemists.
- Troubleshoot instrument software and connection issues as directed by SOP/Chemists.
- Assist scientists/chemists with data collection for lab instrument qualifications and MOC's.
- Provide support at the Austin lab site on an as‑needed basis.
- HS Diploma with 7 years industrial laboratory experience OR Associate Degree in Chemistry or similar and 5 years experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or similar and 3 years experience.
- Must meet all Analyst 1 Requirements.
- Holiday and weekend coverage.
- Team‑working and effective communication skills.
- Good computer skills with analytical instrumentation software, LIMS, Word, Excel, etc.
- Initiative and self‑motivation.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to lift medium loads with help of coworkers.
- Perform repetitive sample analysis tasks daily.
