Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organization and time management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support seasonal resets and installations when needed. Occasionally, you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $12.00–$14.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom training.
- Part‑time employees receive voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, etc.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours are 5–8 hours.
- Availability is required the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
- Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device, restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology for day‑to‑day tasks, communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital. - Holiday support:
Additional days and extended hours are required around holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. On some holidays, work may be required on the holiday itself, including weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in teams responsible for installing and building Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Advance notice of two weeks is typical; assignments may include evenings or weekends. - Team collaboration:
Support fellow merchandisers in the field organization as needed.
This is a physically demanding job requiring high energy and urgency. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds daily and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You will kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Proficiency with a digital handheld device to open and read documents.
- Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to assigned stores as scheduled.
