Novus Technical Services USA is seeking an experienced Mechanical General Foreman to lead and oversee all piping and mechanical field operations on commercial and industrial construction projects. This role is responsible for supervising multiple pipe fitting and mechanical crews, ensuring all work is executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and company requirements.
The Mechanical General Foreman will coordinate all field activities related to piping systems, fabrication, installation, testing, and mechanical completion. This position is responsible for managing manpower, materials, and equipment to meet production goals while maintaining strict adherence to safety, quality, and schedule expectations. The role serves as the primary field leader for mechanical scope and works closely with project management, superintendents, and client representatives.
In addition, this position provides leadership and mentorship to foremen and craft personnel, supports field planning and sequencing of work, and ensures compliance with all HSE and quality standards. The Mechanical General Foreman is also responsible for resolving field issues, supporting change order identification, and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

Qualifications and Requirements- 5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial mechanical/piping construction
- 2–3+ years of experience in a foreman or general foreman leadership role
- Strong knowledge of piping systems, process piping, and mechanical installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret isometric drawings, P&IDs, blueprints, and specifications
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
- Reliable transportation
- OSHA 10 preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
This is a safety-sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten-panel drug/alcohol screening.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise, coordinate, and direct multiple mechanical and piping crews on active job sites
- Plan, schedule, and assign daily work activities to meet project milestones and production goals
- Interpret and execute work according to P&IDs, isometric drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
- Oversee installation, fabrication, assembly, testing, and turnover of piping and mechanical systems
- Ensure manpower, materials, tools, and equipment are efficiently allocated and utilized
- Monitor jobsite productivity, quality control, and compliance with project requirements
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies; promote a strong safety culture
- Conduct or support daily jobsite planning meetings and toolbox talks
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and client representatives
- Identify, document, and resolve field issues, conflicts, and scope discrepancies
- Support change order identification and verification of out-of-scope work
- Assist with project tracking, reporting, and progress documentation
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to foremen, pipe fitters, and mechanical crews
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality, and system integrity
- Foster strong client and vendor relationships while representing Novus professionally on-site
- Perform other duties as assigned
Employees are required to work the project schedule, which is currently 10 hours Monday through Friday, plus 8 hours on Saturdays, and will be compensated in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines.
