Job Summary
Gemini is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician with electrical experience for our Taylor, TX facility. This role will support production equipment, building maintenance, and remodeling tasks in a people‑first environment.
Wage Range: $22.70 – $37.45 per hour, based on experience.
Location: Taylor, TX.
Type: Full‑time, onsite.
Schedule: 8‑hour days, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is scheduled as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to diagnose mechanical or electrical problems.
- Perform construction, fabrication, welding and remodeling projects, including walls, shelving, storage bins, hanging ceilings, pouring concrete, ductwork and related tasks.
- Evaluate site requirements, recommend new or modified equipment, and install technical equipment with electrical, air and water connections for production use.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures of CNC and PLC‑controlled production equipment, and modify equipment to improve efficiency.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as directed.
- Install or replace lighting fixtures and repair electrical wiring as needed.
- Initiate parts requisitions and obtain quotations from approved vendors.
- Conduct periodic inspections of production equipment.
- Maintain records of replacement parts and equipment to facilitate emergency repairs.
- Ensure buildings and grounds meet or exceed plant manager and visitor expectations.
- Follow safety procedures, use approved safety devices and PPE, notify plant manager of safety issues, and perform arc‑flash PPE inspections per NFPA 70E.
- Check condition of company vehicles, repair or deliver vehicles to a commercial garage as required.
- Operate snow removal equipment and spread sand in parking lots and sidewalks as needed.
- Maintain positive working relationships with all Gemini team members.
- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and generate related reports in Fast Trak Maintenance program.
- Perform other duties as assigned to benefit the organization.
- Technical understanding of maintenance processes and equipment.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Independent project coordination, timeline establishment, and deadline adherence.
- Strong problem‑solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Influence, support, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of process improvement concepts and adaptability to new processes.
- Effective communication of technical information and collaboration with cross‑functional partners.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships and credibility with internal and external partners.
- Plan, organize, prioritize workload, and coordinate work activities to meet operational needs.
- Proficiency with common computer programs and maintenance‑related systems/software.
- Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred; candidates without this education must have a minimum of 10 years of maintenance experience.
- 5–7+ years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with electrical systems, plumbing, welding, and fabrication preferred.
- 4 % retirement match with profit sharing.
