Alarm Electrician

We are looking for a skilled Alarm Electrician to join our team at a semiconductor site. The role involves the installation of CO2 suppression cabinets, and requires a professional who is adept at reading prints, bending, cutting, and routing stainless steel tubing. The ideal candidate will be safety-conscious and comfortable working at heights, with the ability to follow detailed work instructions and perform quality assurance and quality control tasks effectively.

• Read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Bend, cut, and route stainless steel tubing, and install compression fittings for SS tube runs.
• Route electrical cables and terminate wires accurately.
• Install specialized low-voltage and shielded cables connecting initiation devices to main control panels according to blueprint specifications and NFPA 72 codes.
• Position smoke detectors, heat sensors, pull stations, and audible/visual notification appliances in fabrication areas and utility corridors.
• Set up hazardous gas monitoring systems, including toxic gas detectors, flammable gas sensors, and oxygen depletion monitors.
• Connect fire alarm panels to PLCs and SCADA systems for emergency safety protocols.
• Perform functional tests to verify signal transmission, device addressability, and communication with central monitoring stations.
• Coordinate electrical connections for fire risers, water flow switches, pre-action sprinkler systems, and specialized gas-suppression setups.

Work in a cleanroom environment, wearing a smock outfit. The role involves a construction build-out setting with working hours from 6am to 4pm, Monday through Saturday, with the possibility of Sunday shifts.

This is a Contract position based out of Taylor, TX.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $41.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
