Description

Novus Technical Services is seeking experienced Site Material Coordinator to support ongoing semiconductor construction operations at the Samsung project in Taylor, Texas.

The Site Material Coordinator manages the on-site material warehouse for the Samsung Semiconductor project in Taylor, TX. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, preserving, and issuing materials and equipment to support field construction activities. Working closely with the crews at the point of installation, the coordinator maintains accurate inventory records and keeps the material tracking system current by recording each transaction as it occurs.

This is a hands‑on role for a well‑organized coordinator who takes ownership of a complete site material operation and keeps construction supplied and moving.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    Associate degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of warehouse or material control experience, preferably on industrial, EPC, or semiconductor construction projects
  • Experience with material tracking systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of receiving documentation, material requisitions, inventory control, and OS&D (Over, Short, and Damaged) processes
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and barcode/RFID scanning systems is a plus
  • Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift materials in accordance with site requirements
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record preferred

This is a safety‑sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten‑panel drug/alcohol screening.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, store, preserve, and issue materials and equipment in accordance with project procedures
  • Document all material receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and initiate OS&D reports when required
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by capturing all material transactions within the project tracking system
  • Manage warehouse and laydown yard organization, including material identification, tagging, location assignments, and storage of serialized and traceable materials
  • Coordinate material transfers and replenishment with the main warehouse to ensure field crews have required materials
  • Issue materials to construction crews based on approved requisitions while maintaining proper documentation
  • Perform routine cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and damaged material reports
  • Maintain proper preservation and environmental protection of stored materials
  • Ensure QA/QC traceability requirements are maintained for controlled materials
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently, as authorized
  • Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with OSHA, site safety, and company HSE requirements
  • Communicate inventory status, shortages, and material needs to project management and material control personnel
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials throughout the project site
  • Support continuous improvement of warehouse operations and inventory control processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Employees are required to work the project schedule, which may include overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to support project requirements, and will be compensated in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines.
