Maintenance Mechanic - NC

Position Summary & Description

The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for maintaining and improving equipment reliability through preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, repairs, and support of improvement projects. This role plays a key part in ensuring continuous operations, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a safe and efficient manufacturing environment while working primarily on a 12-hour night shift.

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment integrity and operational continuity
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and facility-related equipment issues
• Respond promptly to operational problems, escalating issues when necessary to minimize downtime
• Follow safety procedures and ensure safe practices for self, team members, and contractors
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance procedures, efficiency, and quality standards

• Mechanical & electrical troubleshooting
• Preventive maintenance
• Equipment repair & fabrication

• 7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Fabrication experience
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
  
  Hands-on experience with pumps, drives, motors, pneumatics, and air compressors
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems (PMS) preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
