Construction Materials Technician

Take Your Construction Career to the Next Level! Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer, is looking for an experienced Construction Materials Testing Technician I in its Salt Lake City, UT office.

Kleinfelder’s Construction Services team will perform construction observation and materials testing on various projects to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.

• Follow proper procedures
• Complete work in a timely manner
• Prepare daily field observation reports and materials testing data sheets
• Perform accurate computations
• Maintain cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
• Help in laboratory testing of materials
• Train technicians and assist in growing the Houston Office
• Lead other junior technicians on long‑term projects

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet and knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to obtain ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician – Grade 1 within 6 months of employment
• Ability to obtain Radiation Safety training certification for the operation of a nuclear density gauge within 6 months of employment
• Authorization to work in the United States

• ICC Special Inspector
  
  Certifications:
  
  Reinforced Concrete, Prestressed Concrete, Structural Masonry, Spray Applied Fireproofing, Structural Steel and Bolting, Structural Welding
• Soils certification in ACI aggregate soils, Nicet Soils, or ICC Soils Certs
