Position: Specialist III, Accounts Receivable (Part-Time)

Job Overview

Provide frontline customer service and student account support to assist with Accounts Receivable operations and collections activities. This role involves working with students who have past‑due balances to establish and maintain payment arrangements, coordinating outbound calls, and handling sensitive information with confidentiality and strict adherence to FERPA guidelines. Self‑motivated and a team player.

Key Responsibilities
  • Outbound calls to students with past‑due balances.
  • Establish and maintain payment arrangements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to FERPA guidelines.
  • Organize and set priorities to complete multiple tasks effectively in a busy and stressful office.
  • Work well under pressure and maintain detail and accuracy orientation.
  • Operate telephone, computer, copy machine, ten‑key calculator, and other typical office equipment.
  • Communicate effectively in English both written and oral; communicate with a broad range of people with different backgrounds and abilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Self‑motivated and a team player.
  • Ability to learn a variety of software programs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Basic accounting skills preferred.
  • Customer service knowledge and skills.
  • Working knowledge of college policies, procedures, and operations preferred.
  • 1 year of customer service experience.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Available to work 25 hours per week.
  • Spanish or another language.
  • Customer Service Skills, Proficient using Microsoft Office, and General Office Knowledge & Experience.
