Overview
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
All employees are expected to maintain a permanent residence within the State of Utah as a condition of employment. New employees must provide a valid Utah residential address within 30 days of their start date.
Responsible for assisting students with the financial aid processes, questions, and performing office functions relative to the receipt of financial aid documents. Customer Service functions include: explain financial aid policies and procedures, assist students and others at the Financial Aid Office front-desk, help students complete FAFSA applications, assist students and staff with financial aid problems and concerns, refer students and others to the proper offices or persons for assistance.
Clerical functions include: receive and screen financial aid documents, file student records, data entry, scanning and imaging, indexing scanned documents. Must be consistently on time and reliable in work attendance.
Excellent interpersonal skills, (customer service, written and oral communication.)
- General Office and Data Input experience.
- Adaptable to frequent change, function well in a high-stress environment.
- Knowledge of Banner, Etrieve, and Microsoft Suite preferred.
- Knowledge of Title IV Financial Aid and FAFSA application process preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of diverse people, ability, culture, ethnic background, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
- Ability to work with all groups in a diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic background of community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
Must have work-study offer on award notification.
Preferred QualificationsFinancial Aid knowledge, Student Services experience. Knowledge of Microsoft programs, computer skills. Good communication skills.
