Material Handler (Part Denester)
DeGeest Corporation is seeking a dependable and motivated Material Handler (Part Denester) to support the movement of materials and inventory throughout our manufacturing facility. This entry‑level role plays a critical part in keeping production flowing efficiently by unloading trucks, moving raw materials and work‑in‑process inventory, staging parts for production, and supporting shipping and receiving activities.
This position will utilize equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, hoists, carts, and other material handling equipment to safely transport materials throughout the facility. Additional responsibilities may include laser de‑nesting, packaging, assembly support, inventory tracking, and facility maintenance tasks.
Schedule & CompensationFull‑Time Position.
Shift schedule: shop hours are 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, can get 40 hours in during this window Monday through Friday. Overtime is available when needed.
Key Responsibilities- Material movement, staging, and kitting
- Laser part de‑nesting and part organization
- Loading/unloading trucks and verifying shipments
- Inventory tracking and ERP system scanning
- Operating forklifts and material handling equipment
- Supporting production flow and work center organization
- Maintaining clean and safe work areas
- Assisting with inventory counts and logistics support
- 0–3 years of manufacturing or material handling experience preferred
- Forklift experience preferred (certification provided in‑house)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work safely in a physically active environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Forklift certification required (complete in‑house training and certification)
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling materials
- Frequently required to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds or more
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noises, moving mechanical parts, and varying temperatures
- Strong attention to detail with ability to focus on a given task
- Enthusiastic about learning new skills and technology
- Effective time‑management and work prioritization skills

Note:
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for a bonus.
