Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and systems to ensure the efficient and cost-effective production of products. They work closely with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, troubleshoot production issues, and enhance overall productivity.

Responsibilities

Develop and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce production costs, and ensure product quality.

Design and implement production systems and workflows, including the selection of equipment and tools.

Implement quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry and company standards.

Identity and resolve quality issues by implementing corrective and preventive actions.

Evaluate and recommend cost-effective materials, components, and manufacturing methods.

Identify opportunities for automation and implement technology solutions to streamline manufacturing processes.

Lead or participate in projects related to process improvement, capacity expansion, and new product introductions.

Develop project plans, set milestones, and manage resources effectively.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, design and quality assurance, to resolve production issues and implement process changes.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and work on creating a safe working environment for employees.

Identify areas for improvement that drive Lean manufacturing practices and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Education and Training

Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Experience

4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related field.
- Proficient in CAD Software such as Solid Works and AutoCAD.
- Experience with CAM programming for CNC Machines.
- Knowledge and experience within a machine shop, sheet metal shop and mechanical assembly.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong understanding of the creation and implementation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) processes.

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. This position is eligible for a bonus.
