Skills Needed: The suitable incumbent with be DELTA and degree qualified with a significant track record gained at a managerial level within education. Summer centre experience gained in a supervisory role is also essential. Other Teaching qualifications may also be considered with the right track record AND the DELTA qualification. -All academic staff must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized third level institution.
-Academic Managers who are involved in the professional development of colleagues need to hold a DELTA or equivalent qualification (Candidates with Masters in TEFL or TESOL must also include a teaching practice element to be considered for senior academic posts).
-There is only limited scope for the provision of accommodation and being able to organise your own accommodation in the area, or be within a reasonable commuting distance would be considered for a higher rate.
-Eligible to live and work in the UK.
-Excellent communication skills.
-Flexibility and adaptability
-Ability and desire to work both independently and as part of a team
-Excellent organisational and managerial skills
-Ability to place students within the correct level of class and adhere to timetables
-Previous summer school experience or teaching on residential courses essential
