The Biomedical Technician III - Site Lead supports the Multi-Vendor Biomedical business within an assigned geographical area or at an assigned account. This position will be responsible for customer relationship management through the effective use of communications and technical knowledge to install, troubleshoot, service, and maintain equipment at customer sites.
EssentialJob Duties
- Perform advanced diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and complex repairs on biomedical and imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the technical escalation point for challenging equipment issues, providing expert troubleshooting and resolution to minimize service disruptions and downtime.
- Lead service activities within an assigned geographic region, independently managing workload, priorities, and customer expectations.
- Collaborate closely with clinicians, service teams, and leadership to align technical solutions with clinical needs and service objectives.
- Mentor and support BMET I and II technicians, sharing technical knowledge, best practices, and professional guidance to strengthen team capability.
- Ensure accurate and timely service documentation, maintaining compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and internal procedures.
- Identify trends, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities, recommending corrective actions to enhance equipment reliability and service efficiency.
- Support training initiatives, equipment validation, and new technology rollouts, contributing subject‑matter expertise to organizational growth and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for ongoing status reporting to all hospital leadership.
- May assist with technical evaluation and training of junior BMET’s and make recommendations regarding formal training requirements.
- Driving and vehicle operation are essential functions of this role.

- Strong PC competency, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and understanding of computer hardware, processors, and electronic circuit boards.
- Advanced hands‑on experience with complex test equipment, mechanical devices, tools, and networking technologies with solid troubleshooting skills.
- Expertise in at least one specialty area, supported by a minimum of one manufacturer certification on a medical equipment model.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and with customers.
- Demonstrated leadership ability, knowledge‑sharing mindset, and strong teamwork within fast‑paced, team‑driven environments.
- Highly adaptable with strong decision‑making skills, able to assess situations quickly and act confidently with limited information.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record compliant with Block Imaging’s Fleet Policy.
Preferred Experience
Minimum 5 years servicing biomedical equipment.
Education (or equivalent experience)Associate degree or equivalent training/experience in electronics or Biomedical Engineering.
