Position Details
EPIC BACKFILL, Day Shift – 36-48 hours per week (3x12s). Must have recent EPIC experience within last 12 months.
Location:
Tehachapi, CA (Home base: Hanford). Floating required throughout CVN.
Contract – In-Office.
Located in a tight‑knit community in Kings County, Hanford has been serving the Central Valley since 1965. The facility is a 173‑bed hospital with many outpatient clinics offering primary and specialty care services. Hanford residents enjoy a family‑friendly atmosphere and nearby national parks.
Job SummaryDelivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
Job Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) – preferred.
- Acute care facility experience – preferred.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice – required.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy – required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per AH policy – required.
- Collects relevant data pertaining to the patient's health or situation.
- Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues.
- Develops a plan prescribing interventions to attain outcomes.
- Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
- Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes.
- Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation.
- Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members.
- Provides health information directly to patients, families, and the treatment team.
- Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
- Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
