Description
Thrive Pet Healthcare is hiring a Veterinary Practice Manager for the Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital. The role ensures a positive culture, operational efficiency, and client service while managing the hospital’s business activities.
About YouCandidate will bring leadership, decision‑making, and communication skills to foster a supportive environment aligned with the hospital’s values.
Responsibilities- Oversee all business activities of the hospital.
- Hire, train, coach, and conduct disciplinary action for staff.
- Prepare, manage, and analyze budgets in collaboration with leadership and finance.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators and set clinic fees.
- Maintain inventory control systems and manage hospital software.
- Implement and enforce safety and security procedures.
- Promote a culture of empathy, client service, and employee engagement.
- 3+ years of veterinary hospital management or supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.
- CVPM certification encouraged.
- Experience managing an ER veterinary healthcare setting.
- Strong judgment, time‑management, and decision‑making skills.
- Ability to lead staff at all levels and demonstrate empathy toward clients and animals.
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial reporting, and P&L analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Solid math and Excel/spreadsheet skills.
- Physical ability to lift 40 pounds without assistance, and 40+ pounds with assistance.
Annual salary starting at $71,000+ annually (negotiable based on credentials and experience). Benefits include:
