Children’s Social Worker – Children With Disabilities Team
We are offering a 1X Social Worker Post – 37 hours per week, Permanent.
Qualified Social Worker – PO2: £42,652 – £45,271
* Experienced Social Worker – PO3: £47,362 – £50,339 *
Salary includes market factor where applicable.
Responsibilities- Plan and review social care needs for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including those with complex health needs.
- Work directly with children, young people and their families to ensure their views are listened to and they are fully engaged in processes to deliver appropriate support.
- Adhere to statutory requirements (Children in Need, Children Cared for by the Local Authority, Child Protection) and safeguard children and young people.
- Collaborate in multi‑agency working with partners within health, education and social care.
- Engage in quality supervision, reflective consultations and professional development opportunities.
- Qualified Social Worker (PO2) or Experienced Social Worker (PO3) with a relevant social work qualification.
- Experience working with children and young people with disabilities, complex health, medical and learning difficulties is desirable but not required.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
