Childcare Worker

Saje Care Group provides therapeutic residential care and specialist support services for children and young people. Our residential home, Summer House, offers a nurturing and structured environment tailored to the individual needs of each child or young person. Partnering with local authorities and professionals, we ensure safe, consistent, and compassionate care through a trauma-informed approach.

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Childcare Worker at our Shifnal location. The Childcare Worker will be responsible for providing nurturing and supportive care for children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and emotional growth. Daily tasks include supervising activities, supporting individuals in their personal development, assisting with meals, and organizing recreational and educational activities. The role also involves maintaining open communication with other staff, professionals, and family members to ensure a collaborative and child-focused approach to care.

• Experience and skills in Childcare and Working with Children
• Familiarity with Social Services and ability to collaborate with various professionals
• Training experience or willingness to undergo training as required
• Event Planning skills to organize recreational and developmental activities for children
• Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate resilience in a challenging role
• Relevant childcare qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent) preferred
• Understanding of trauma-informed practices and safeguarding principles is highly valued
