About

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Graduate Ecologist to join a well‑established environmental consultancy based in Shropshire.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early‑career ecologist looking to develop their skills within a supportive and experienced team. You will assist with a range of ecological surveys, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) work and ecological assessments, gaining hands‑on experience across a diverse portfolio of projects.

This position offers structured training, mentoring and clear opportunities for career progression.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Ecology or a related environmental subject
  • A strong interest in ecological consultancy and fieldwork
  • Some experience of ecological surveys (through work, placements or volunteering)
  • A basic understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn ecological report writing and survey methodologies
  • Basic IT skills (GIS experience desirable but not essential)
  • A positive, team‑focused approach
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use
