Electrical Fitter

Qi Van Systems is a leading UK vehicle conversion specialist based in Telford, designing, manufacturing and fitting bespoke vehicle solutions for some of the UK's largest fleets.

Telford | Full-time, Permanent | Up to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience

Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit Electrical Fitters to join our established vehicle fitting team.

Working as part of our production team, you will be involved in the electrical fit-out of a wide range of vehicles, including panel vans, cars and 4x4s. You'll work from fitting instructions and specifications to ensure every vehicle is completed safely, accurately and to the required quality standards and timescales.

Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm

Friday: 6:00am – 12:00pm

• Installing 12V automotive electrical systems and ancillary equipment
• Fitting beacons, work lights, inverters and other electrical equipment
• Wiring, soldering and fitting connectors, batteries and electrical components
• Reading and working from wiring diagrams and fitting instructions
• Carrying out mechanical assembly and installation work where required
• Using a range of hand and power tools
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard
• Working closely with the wider fitting and production teams to meet build schedules

• Previous experience working with 12V automotive electrics is essential
• Good knowledge of automotive wiring, connectors and electrical components
• Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
• Good attention to detail and a strong approach to quality
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A flexible attitude and willingness to learn
• Experience with in vehicle conversions or automotive manufacturing would be an advantage
• An 18th Edition electrical qualification would be beneficial, but is not essential

• Up to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
• 20 days' annual leave plus 8 Bank Holidays
• Annual leave increasing after 3 years' service by 1 day per year, up to 25 days
