Green Tech Plumber – Heat Pumps & Heating

As part of the Octopus Energy Services crew, you’ll be working closely with our office based teams to get our innovative renewable products installed into customer homes. You’ll have the backing of Octopus Energy’s massive tech power to minimise admin, so you can focus on delivering top-class service to our customers.

We're looking for plumbers who have experience in heating systems and are passionate about providing our customers with the best service possible (we’ll provide full training to help you transition over to renewables). You'll be the face of Octopus Energy in our customers' homes backed by a strong track record of safety, respect and top-tier service, you’ll love connecting with customers just as much as handling the technical work.
You'll be responsible for:

• Working as part of a team of two to install low carbon technology in customers’ homes, starting with Air Source Heat Pumps.
• Using your knowledge and experience of domestic heating and plumbing systems to prepare and install unvented cylinders, pipework, and radiators
• Planning and communicating with the wider team and customers
• Continuously learning about new technologies at our innovative R&D training centre

• Minimum Level 2 NVQ in:
  Plumbing and Heating or Mechanical Engineering Services - Plumbing (domestic)AND/ORGas Qualified with CCN1 and CENWAT, held for a minimum of three years
• Experience on the ‘wet’ side of domestic heating systems
• Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points

• A laser customer focus - communication is key
• A proactive, ‘can do’ attitude
• A keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills
• WRAS Water Supply Regs or UHW
  10/HWSS Unvented DHW Storage Systems can also be beneficial but not essential!

• £26,000 - £30,000 base salary with overtime available (+ London weighting if living within M25)
• £2,500 annual performance bonus
